Beauty Daily: How I #WinTheDay With Clearasil

Spring is here.. sort of. The date on the calendar says yes, but the weather outside says no! I'm dreaming of warmer days filled with sandals, a fitted cap and a good book in the sunshine. Another case of the Mondays. The weekend, of course, went far too fast for my liking and I'm still dreaming of longer days. Spring is here and I couldn't be more excited. Saturday was a gorgeous day and it left just a taste of what's to come. I spent the weekend with my 2 month old nephew (cue cuteness overload here), updated my manicure with Dior's Poreclaine 204, a stunning baby blue shade that had everyone in the salon obsessing, and did a little vacation shopping. Last night during the Oscars, Ellen Degeneres shocked us all when she ordered pizza and fed the celebrities (and boy did they eat). Next, she did something even funnier - she searched the audience for funds to pay for the pizza! When Lupita Nyong'o had no cash to spare, she decided to give Ellen something else.. her lip balm! Oscars 2014 Beauty Favorite: Nude Lips & Sultry Eyes

The Oscars will soon be a distant memory, but the leading ladies' beauty looks will live on. The red carpet was filled with stunning dresses, sparkly baubles, and incredibly gorgeous makeups. The trend on the carpet was clearly nude lips and smokey eyes seen on almost all the nominated females, including Jennifer Lawrence above at the after party. #NYFW Backstage Beauty: Marc Jacobs Autumn/Winter 2014

NARS created the look for the Marc Jacobs AW ‘14 runway show. Lead artist François Nars said "The makeup look was really inspired by the collection, which is very "matte." There's nothing too silky and I wanted that to translate to the makeup. The models look like mannequins. The eyelid is a pale neutral grey and we made it look bigger by foregoing mascara. The lips have a touch of frosted metallic silver. We used a lot of powder for a matte, porcelain finish."
