KAUFMANFRANCO SS14 | New York Fashion Week

Raw Refined. Good Girl Bad Girl. Ebony Ivory. Bare Sensuality. These are just a few of the terms the dynamic designing duo Ken Kaufman and Isaac Franco used to define their Spring 2014 collection. Any girl would love to navigate through the Concrete Jungle in one of their looks. It was simple done sexy. With a color palette of whites, nudes, eye catching oranges, structured blacks, and glamorous golds, the collection offered something for every Urban Huntress in fabrics like burlap, linens, and leathers. I loved the tailored jackets and trench coats. It was amazing to see daily ensembles with such intricacy and details. I would wear all 37 looks if I could…not to mention throw a black headband around my hair with a loose ponytail. There were some real showstoppers like a long white jersey sheath dress with a leg-baring (but not overly sexy) slit, and the orange grecian-esque gown that just flowed down the runway. I wouldn't be me if I didn't mention that the shoes were Manolo Blahniks. Paging Carrie. Kaufman + Franco make a really good design team and know how to make opposites attract.
