When a fashion line comes out with a cosmetics line I always wait a while to review. My thoughts are it could go two ways -- the products can be awful or they can be amazing. Luckily, Burberry did it right. I'm throughly impressed with the entire line. I was fortunate enough to win a makeover at the new Saks Burberry counter with the lovely Justin. The makeover went amazing and I left impressed. You can see photos of the new Saks counter here. I was gifted these items after my makeover and loved the quality. Keep reading for swatches!
Burberry Light Glow Natural Blush in Tangerine Blush No. 06 ($42): The color of this blush is beautiful! I love the tangerine shade. I would describe it as soft peach color. The micro-powder is lightweight and smooth. The tangerine shade gives a natural and radiant glow.
Burberry Sheer Eye Shadow in Pearl Grey No. 17 ($29): The pigment on this shadow is awesome. It's so smooth that it almost feels creamy.
TIP: Apply from the lash line to the socket line and then use a darker color in the socket line. Apply to lower lashes if needed, taking it a little lower than you normally would across the eyes.
Burberry Lip Cover in Nude Rose No. 25 ($30): My favorite product from the Burberry Beauty line are the lip covers. The texture is super light and hydrating. The colors are bold yet still natural. Your lips feel immediately moisturized. The colors range from nude trench tones to reds. The lipsticks also contain anti-aging ceramides for fuller lips. The shade I tried was Nude Rose, which I would describe as a pink beige.
Retail: Prices vary
Overall: The pigments on these products are amazing. The only complaint I've heard is about the price point. The price is not high considering the quality. My favorites are the lipsticks and the eyeshadows.
