The Creators of The INSTYLER launch new tool: THE TOPSTYLER

I recently heard of the new launch from the creators of THE INSTYLER (which was the first-ever rotating hair straightener and curling iron) called THE TOPSTYLER. The Topstyler is said to "revolutionize the way women curl their hair - forever." The idea behind this product is to be able to replace classic rollers and curling irons with a healthly alternate. Rollers and curling irons are products that overtime cause damage to the hair. THE TOPSTYLER was created by Linda Flowers (celebrity stylist) and in partnership with TrĂ© Milano. The design itself is unique that evenly heats and naturally sets hair into shiny and voluminous curls. It's already getting praise in Hollywood. It's been used on the set of films such as The Social Network and Iron Man 2. Scarlett Johansson is also said to be a fan.

Here's what THE TOPSTYLER has been proven to do: Provide curls that last 3 times longer than a curling iron, curls that lasts at least three days, NO damage whatsoever to the hair and holds so well that the curl is the same three days later.

Retail: Varies at locations (Bed Bath & Beyond, Kohl's, Target, ULTA, Walgreens and Wal-Mart and online at

THE INSTYLER continues to be popular among the stars. It definitely made a splash at The Cia Maritima Show Mercedes -Benz Fashion Week Swim this July.

SHOW: Cia.Maritima at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2012
OVERALL LOOK: Transitional, Textured Waves
INSPIRATION: To complement the textured fabrics and one-of-a-kind patterns of the collection
HAIRSTYLIST: Dean Banowetz for THE INSTYLER

HOW TO GET THE LOOK:

1.    Separate hair into sections starting from the bottom layer at the nape of the neck
2.    Spray sea salt to coat the hair, adding texture and body
3.    Back comb at the root for volume and fullness
4.    Twist small sections of hair varying the amount of spins, to create tight and loose piece-y waves
5.    Wrap the twisted strands around the barrel of THE INSTYLER, closing the clamp for 15 seconds to set the curl
6.    Release the strand and once cool, separate by pulling at the end to give the hair a natural wave
7.    Repeat until each section is complete
8.    Flip hair upside-down, and finish by spraying a light mist of sea salt spray while scrunching hair for texture

My hair is naturally wavy but I'm tempted to pick this up to create softer curls. Have you ever tried a curling tool for your hair?
