MAC Mini Haul

I stopped by MAC (as usual--I can't just walk by!) after work and decided to pick up some items that needed to be replaced. I'd run out of one of my favorite lipsticks and opted to try out their foundation. I've been hesitant about their foundations, because I once read that their foundations are bad for your skin. I decided to see for my myself. Here's what I picked up:

First thing I purchased was MAC Cremesheen lipstick in Creme D' Nude. I've been in love with this lipstick for a while now. It's described as a "pale muted peach beige." It's very pale and definitely will not work for all skin tones. I imagine a fair/medium skin tone would be best although I have known some deeper skin tones to wear it. It depends on your preference. It's the perfect nude (I think!) because it doesn't give the horrible washed out look that some nudes do. I wear it  A LOT and get complimented at least once a day.

Second thing I purchased was MAC Pro Wedges. I go back and forth between applying makeup with a brush and wedges. It really depends on my mood. I find that in the Summer I prefer to apply liquid foundation with a wedge as I get more coverage.

Lastly, I purchased MAC's Pro Long-wear SPF 10 Foundation in NW25. I decided on getting this because I'm still on the hunt for the best foundation out there. My skin really (and I mean REALLY) dislikes foundation. It'll work well for a little while then kind of disagree with it. I'm also very hard to match in foundation. I usually tend to have to mix since I have both pink/yellow undertones (Neutral). This color actually matched pretty well and gave very nice coverage. I've been wearing it for the past few days and so far, no complaints. Used with my Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer, it's the perfect combo for long-wearing foundation in NYC's summer climate.
